Name: Vahtter
Preferred Rank: Ensign
Position: Medic
Species: Denobulan/Klingon
Age: 36
Physical Description 6'1, No hair, Ever-changing eye color (common for the species), Facial ridges, spinal ridge, striped toenails, long tongue, powerful immune system.
Birthplace: Cargo vessel
Hobbies: Rock climbing
Family on board? None
History/Background/Education The position of medic suits Vahtter well, giving him plenty of opportunities to interact with others. He originally joined the Denobulan Army, but quickly fell out of favor due to his "devil may care" attitude and unwillingness to kill. After a fall from a climbing trip ended him in the hospital, he saw the challenges and benefits the position of Medic would offer him. Due to his inability for facial expansion, a result of his mixed parentage, he was shunned by society, which prompted him to consider Starfleet Academy, an organization known for racial tolerance. After his Klingon mother and Denobulan father passed away, he got that chance. However, his hibernation fell upon the time of final exams and he failed. Only after pleading his case to the Dean, in his own smooth style, did he convince them to let him retest.
Personality Profile: Very outgoing, wants to be needed, is in his early prime for his species, so he's still exploring his hormones.
Other Personal Details: Hates to be alone.
Any Special Notes: Needs to hibernate for 6 days a year. Unlike others of his species, he does not have the "blowfish" talent of facial expansion, much to his embarrassment.
Answer this Question : How will your new character contribute to the RP? How will he/she fit in with the others on board? The character I propose will provide good opportunities for humor on the board, will help forward any medical related plotlines, and will be a worthy addition to the team. He will be rooming with Matt and, since the two will have completely opposite personalities, there will be plenty of opportunity for intriguing possibilities.
Role-Play Sample:Please post a 1-3 paragraph role-play sample as your character. It can be about anything you choose, but it must be in character
He stood on the precipice of a new journey. Shunned by his people, he sat in the shuttle which would take him to a transport vessel and then on to Starfleet Academy. He rubbed the right ridge of his face, a nervous habit, as he gazed out of the windows.
Growing smaller by the second was his home. A very small part of him was left there, but the anxiety he felt being lifted from his shoulders as the planet disappeared more than compensated. He looked over at the woman seated next to him, a traveller of unfamiliar race. "How long," he asked her. She looked up from her book, frowning at him, the ridges on his face not to her aesthetic tastes. Without replying, she went back to reading.
"This may be harder than I thought," Vahtter thought, reaching for his beverage. "Hopefully, the Academy will be easier."
