History/Background/Education
Hudson was always at the fringe of society, never really fitting in. Her lack of ambition quickly lead her down the wrong path, and she ended up with a bad crowd as a teenager. Soon, she found herself at the business end of a weapon which tore a hole through her right chest and forced her into months of rehabilitation. During that time, she befriended the nurses and orderlies, and when it came time for her to leave, she asked them for a job. Immediately ashamed when they offered her a janitorial position, she took it just to stay in touch with those who had saved her life. Eventually, she grew to like the job. The actual duties were mundane, but the job itself allowed her into areas to which she would never in her wildest dreams have access. Reluctantly, she moved on, working for a cleaning service. One home was the property of a retired Captain of Starfleet. He saw her need for structure and recommended she join the Academy, if only to give her some direction in her life. She tried to excel, but eventually dropped out after two years. She fell into the same career path as before after enlisting in Starfleet and remaining at the Academy as part of her job, cleaning the grand halls. She quickly realized that not everyone has to be the knight on a white horse on a starship to be liked. Eventually, she became known at the Academy as the person to go to when one first arrived if one wanted all the 'inside information' and tips on how to survive the first year stress. When the Crudaigh was set to embark on their 13 year journey, her name came up on the short list.
Personality Profile: Chatty, energetic. Loves juicy gossip and will go out of her way to create some when she's bored. Appears to be a ditzy blonde, but is actually more intelligent than she acts.
Answer this Question: How will your new character contribute to the RP? How will he/she fit in with the others on board?
Hudson is flirtatious and territorial when it comes to men, which should contribute to some interesting scenarios. She also will be a good comic foil for certain members, especially those with high ranks.
Role-Play Sample:
"Excuse me! Don't walk through..." she let out a sound of frustration as yet another crewmember walked through the wet floor, even though she had put up the appropriate signage. The Klingon from security had tracked some sort of dark substance all through the hallway and Hudson was having a devil's time getting rid of it. "What th' heck was she doing," Hudson wondered, scrubbing a spot for the third time.
"Would you mind getting out of the way," a man from medical said, pushing a hover gurney towards her. Hudson stood up quickly, flattening herself against the wall. There was a body on the stretcher, the person's head covered with a sheet. Raising her eyebrows, she asked, "who died?" She followed him like a puppy following a juicy bone.
The man turned to her, "I don't think it's any of your business," he said. Giving him soft, doe eyes, Hudson wiped the sweat from her forehead and let her hand travel down her cheek to her lips and down her neck. The man stood there, mesmerized. "I won't tell," Hudson pouted. Looking around quickly, the medic grinned, wetting his lips, "well..."
